                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6958, AS
                   AMENDED, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE, SO AS
                   TO REZONE A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE 1000
                   AND 1100 BLOCKS OF EAST DALLAS ROAD, AND IN THE
                   1200 BLOCK OF DUANE ROAD, BEING ON THE
                   NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST LINES OF EAST DALLAS
                   ROAD SOUTHWEST OF HIXSON PIKE, AND ON THE
                   NORTHWEST AND SOUTHWEST LINE OF DUANE ROAD
                   SOUTHWEST OF EAST DALLAS ROAD, FROM R-3
                   RESIDENTIAL ZONE TO R-1 RESIDENTIAL ZONE.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That Ordinance No. 6958, as
         amended, known as the Zoning Ordinance, be and the same is 
hereby
         amended so as to rezone:
               
                A tract of land located in the 1000 and 1100 blocks
                of East Dallas Road, and in the 1200 block of Duane
                Road, being on the northeast and southwest lines of
                East Dallas Road southwest of Hixson Pike, and on
                the northwest and southwest line of Duane Road
                southwest of East Dallas Road.  Part of the A. F.
                Hahn Tract, Dallas Heights Subdivision, as shown by
                plat of record in plat book 12, page 42, ROHC; part
                of the property shown as future development,
                Revised Plat of Williams Woods Subdivision, as
                shown by plat of record in plat book 27, page 56,
                ROHC; part of the Beck Tract, not recorded; and
                part of the L. M. Thomas Tract, not recorded; being
                all of Tax Map No. 127H-G-32-34, 127I-A-3, and
                127I-B-6-9.
               
         from R-2 Residential Zone and R-3 Residential Zone to R-1
         Residential Zone.

              SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this Ordinance 
shall
         take effect two weeks from and after its passage, as provided 
by
         law.
